In partnership with Soho House Austin and The Contemporary Austin, Come Up 2022 is an invitation to experience those molding the future of Black Austin.

With a focus on creativity, innovation, and collaboration, Come Up is an inspiring day of discovery with some of the city's most impactful brands, vendors, and local businesses.

Food: The Kibanda

@thekibandachef specializes in Kenyan cuisine. She realized there was a misconception of what African food is, a lack of knowledge on how diverse it is from country to country, even from tribe to tribe in the same country! Her goal is to change that misconception and educate while serving up some scrumptious dishes. She’s opening up her own restaurant and attendees got to taste several of her dishes with Origin first.

Food: Suya Junction

Suya Junction provides fresh takes on the best of Nigerian cuisine.

Dessert: Luv Fats

Luv Fats Ice Cream Ice cream made with luv and avocados.

Luv Fats Ice Cream is a Black family run, local ice cream business that creates decadently, delicious coconut milk and avocado-based ice cream. We have been in business for 3 years and continue to be motivated by our drive to share a yummy, dairy-free dessert with our community.

Base ingredients: coconut milk, organic fair trade cane sugar, organic coconut sugar, avocado, coconut cream, organic coconut milk powder, olive oil, sea salt, vanilla extract.

Snacks: Nosh’d Luxury Snacks

Nosh’d provides luxury snacks for elevated events, including charcuterie and specialty wines for grazing and noshing.

We partnered with the king of cocktails himself @kingbjornce for Come Up.
